My Story
Always the Maintenance-Guy
My interest in automobiles and all things mechanical began when I was very young. Growing up with six sisters, and a very curious nature, I began tinkering and fixing everything I could get my hands on. Once my family saw the advantages, I quickly became the "home maintenance guy".
In the Beginning
In 1979, I purchased an existing auto/truck repair business, which I was managing at the time. We remained in business there for the next 8 years. In 1987, a great opportunity came my way… so I purchased UCF Machine Shop and haven't looked back since.

After 33 years in the machine shop business, UCF Machine Shop still prides itself on delivering a quality product to our customers at a fair price. Our attention to detail, our dedication to technical specifications research, and our prompt service is well known. Over the years, UCF Machine Shop has evolved through knowledge, experience, and acquiring the cutting edge machinery necessary for delivering the top quality, hands-on workmanship our industry expects and deserves.
What Came Next…
Diesels, Restorations, and More
Our facility continues to expand, both in talent and areas of expertise. Not only do we work on gas-powered engines, we've expanded into diesel, commercial, and agriculture engines. Our shop now carries an extensive collection of specialty tools and custom torque plates that assure the finest tolerances during the rebuild process on today's diesel motors.
We handle performance builds for 4,6,8, even 12 cylinder engines. My staff and I treat your engine like it was our own.
