ONE YEAR WARRANTY

OUR COMMITMENT TO CONSISTENT QUALITY CYLINDER HEADS ALLOWS US TO OFFER THE FOLLOWING:

WITHIN THE YEAR OF PURCHASE, UCF WILL:

1. Replace a defective cylinder head only.

FOR THE ORIGINAL END PURCHASER, UCF WILL NOT:

1. Replace or reimburse for additional parts or materials.
2. Reimburse for labor.
3. Reimburse for shipping.

ALLEGED DEFECTIVE CYLINDER HEAD

Call us first at (717) 249-8517. If we cannot fix the problem over the phone, we will authorize you to return the cylinder head to us, along with any other parts we may feel necessary to help with troubleshooting the cylinder head. Copy of the original invoice will also be required. Any cylinder head returned to us, found not to be defective will be returned at customer's expense. No credit will be given.

Warranty is void regardless of time or mileage under the following conditions

• Improper installation
• Faulty cooling system, radiator, water pump, thermostat, etc.
• Unit runs hot – Heat tab on head melted down or missing.
• Used for other than factory intention.
• Altered or performance usage.

Units held in question must be shipped Freight Prepaid to UCF MACHINE SHOP. It is understood that the return of the failed parts is essential and that no warranty consideration will be given without them. The cylinder head must be returned to us uncleaned and without removal of valves, springs, and other applicable components. Replacement or credit, if due, will be issued only after such conditions have been met.

The installer is responsible to match replacement head to the original head and for final identification of the replacement cylinder head.

The warranty described in this paragraph shall be IN LIEU of any other warranty, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY of fitness for a particular purpose.

“In Stock”, Availability, and Lead Times

We constantly have cylinder heads in process and have plenty of core heads to remanufacture along with parts to complete them. Depending upon the volume of orders, we can experience a lead time to complete heads to fulfill orders. The webstore software only has options of having items “In Stock”, which allows customers to order the item, or “Out of Stock” which does not allow customers to order the item. We are not trying to be deceptive, as this terminology cannot be edited, and are attempting methods to inform our customers of this. Head Dowel Sizes 6.0L PowerStroke^® Diesel

18mm Dowels
18mm head dowels were used from Model Year 2003-2006.5 and had casting numbers - 1843080C1 thru #######C4. Example: a 2006 Model Year truck that was built in 2005, came with 18mm head dowels from the factory.

20mm Dowels
20mm head dowels were used for Model Year 2006.5 & 2007 with the casting #1855613C1. The rocker box bolt size and location changed, along with the fuel injector holddowns and are not directly interchangeable with the components for the earlier 18mm dowel engines.

SRH (Service Replacement heads) Dowels
SRH (Service Replacement heads) these heads are a 20mm head dowel casting #1855613C1, but the top is machined to use the earlier rocker boxes and injector hold-downs from the 18mm dowel engines. These were made by Ford for use on the earlier engines that needed heads replaced after they had switched production to the newer castings. These heads are the intended use for the 18-20mm stepped dowels, since they have 20mm dowel holes, but are supposed to mate to a block with 18mm dowel holes.

LB7 (2001-04, VIN: 1, casting #'s: 587-2 & 687-3)
(casting # 041-1 are California Emissions EGR heads, we do not sell these)

LLY (2004.5-05, VIN: 2, casting # 409-1)
LBZ (2006-07, VIN: D, casting # 476-1)
LMM (2007-11, VIN: 6, casting # 704-1)
LML (2011-16, VIN: 8, casting # 704-1 with 1mm smaller injector holes)

Refundable Core Charges

The Refundable Core Charges are refunded as soon as we determine that your heads are useable for remanufacture.

Factors which eliminate heads for core use include:

• heads that were previously machined too thin
• prior and severe cracks which are not repairable
• prior deep cracks extending below seat areas
• prior fuel in coolant injector hole cracks (6.0l Ford)
• prior o-ringing (unless performed by UCF)
• heads that have been drilled and tapped for coolant return lines (6.0l Ford)
• heads with eroded fuel injector holes (Duramax LB7)

Many smaller cracks in the seats are eliminated by replacing the seats and are usually fine.

We can also repair some cracks in the deck surface using Lock N Stitch® pins, but are unable to repair cracks which extend into injector holes, glow plug holes, or deep into a port.

Your core must be returned within 45 days of receiving your heads. Cores received after 45 days will NOT be eligible for refund and may be returned at buyer's expense.

Yes, this means you may not receive your full refund if your heads are not useable to us. We need heads that we can remanufacture and would need to purchase useable cores if returned heads are unuseable. If you believe your heads might not be useable, we offer the NO CORE option which reduces the price to cover us purchasing good cores and eliminates you prepaying for return shipping of your cores. You can also call or message us about your core concerns.

We DO NOT accept Chinese castings for cores.
